Members of the community can adopt a turtle for $10.00 each or a herd of 11 turtles for $100.00. Adopted turtles are released into the canal filled with water and the top 3 turtles to cross the finish line will be awarded. Win or not, you know that you have supported the positive place for youth. The green flag will fly at 10:00am on Saturday at the Love Civic Center, so come on out and give your turtle a good pre-race pep talk and cheer them on as they head down the waterway.
Official Rules of the Event:
- Adopted turtles will be assigned a number as paid adoption papers are received.
- Winners are responsible for all taxes on prize monies.
- All turtles are the property of the Boys & Girls Club
- In the event of a tie for any of the three prize paying places, a coin toss will decide who moves up and down in places.
- Entry forms must be completely filled out.
